PLEASE NOTE: Our Story Time schedule has changed!  Starting September 2019, Author story times now take place on Sundays (not Saturdays), at 11:30 AM in Prospect Lefferts Gardens and 1:30 PM in Fort Greene.  Staff story time takes place in Prospect Lefferts Gardens at 1:30 PM on Saturday.

Neighborhood families are invited to join the booksellers of Greenlight for story time every Saturday afternoon! Greenlight staff choose their favorite read-alouds to share with the youngest booklovers, with great books ranging from classics and award-winners to the best new releases and local favorites.

Authors and illustrators of picture books visit us on Sundays to present their new books with interactive readings and drawings, and often activities and crafts too! 

Greenlight Young Readers Book Group
Fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM in Fort Greene
Fourth Wednesday of each month at 5:30 PM in Prospect Lefferts Gardens
Led by Greenlight booksellers Sarah (at Fort Greene) and Wynne (at Prospect Lefferts Gardens), this book group is geared toward kids ages 9 to 12, and reads great contemporary and classic chapter books. Parents are welcome (but not required) to attend; pizza is served. Check our Book Groups page or the Events Calendar for information about current book group picks, which are always discounted 15%.
